Women's Henley 2009 - Crew announcement

The following crews will race at Women's Henley this year on 19th to 21st June 2009. If anyone from the club could come down to cheer them on it would be much appreciated!!! For more info visit the Women's Henley website here:

Elite Single Scull - Victoria Thornley
Following on from her win in the Senior Single Sculls in 2009, Victoria is now taking on the Elite Women in the top single sculling event.

Elite Coxed Four and Elite Eight - Gemma Akers
As part of the GB U23 Squad's initiative to give people experience in the eight this season, Gemma is racing in a composite four that will "double up" into the eight.

Senior Single Scull - Helen Glover
This will be Helen's first time racing on the Henley course and the one on one racing will suit her competitive nature.

Senior Double Scull - Lucy Ryvar (str) and Anna Davidson (bow)
Anna raced in this event a couple of years ago but for Lucy this will be her first time racing on the Henley course. This double has just started training together and will face some stiff opposition from some established combinations. They are likely to have to qualify via a time trial on the Friday.
